Kauri Coast

15-Oct-2009 I went on a familiarisation trip in Dargaville, capital of the Kumara (sweet potato) and main town of the Kauri Coast. I learnt quite a few things notably that the longest driveable beach is not the famous 90 Mile Beach but the Ripiro Beach. You can also see petrified Kauri trees under the dunes, not as far as the Far North, it can be an alternative for those who do not have time enough.
